About Dr. K
Dr. Kolotkin has worked as a Clinical Psychologist and University Professor for over 30 years. He earned his BA at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, was Phi Beta Kappa, won The Walkley Prize for Original Research, and was a National Institute of Health Undergraduate Research Fellow. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota after serving as a Clinical Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
Dr. K is now a tenured full Professor in the Department of Psychology at Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) where he has taught since 1977. As a Professor he has repeatedly received awards for his outstanding teaching and research.
As a clinician Dr. Kolotkin has maintained a private practice as a Licensed Psychologist since 1978. He is a recognized expert in his field. He has earned the Certificate of Professional Qualification in Psychology from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards, has been a psychotherapy supervisor for psychiatric residents, was appointed a Medical Expert for the United States Office of Hearings and Appeals, and has published in both the popular and professional press.
And, of no small import, Dr. K has been married for over 30 years, loves being married, and thinks that his wife is fabulous.
